Alpha Matter is the fuel of galactic civilization, powering faster-than-light travel, armies, and entire worlds. Acquiring Alpha Matter is the key to expanding your power and influence. Raw Alpha Ore is dangerously unstable. As such, it must be refined into stable Alpha Matter before it can be utilized.

Each planet you visit contains Undiscovered Ore for you to exploit. Mine the planet using an Extractor to recover it.

Once mined, reserves of raw Alpha Ore are stored at your Alpha Base. Alpha Ore is vulnerable to theft by raiders and must be protected.

Once Ore has been processed in a Refinery, it becomes usable Alpha Matter. Alpha Matter is safe from raiders and cannot be stolen.
