Approximately 1500 years ago, a science team within the Naros system discovered a previously unknown developing species on the surface of Naros-3, an Alpha world under assessment for future mining operations. Chaos ensued when the information leaked to the wider Naros system, itself already inhabited by some 17 billion lifeforms, inflaming fears that the primitive species might attempt to harness the native Alpha, and that such an attempt would risk the destruction of the entire system. As panic spread across the system, the Alpha Star Council convened an emergency session—but before the Council could intervene, the local Naros government deployed bio-weapons within the atmosphere of Naros-3, completely exterminating the nascent lifeforms.
